CHRISTIAN GREETINGS:
(This is an adapted version of a recent Newsletter we sent out through our home Church by "Snail Mail," and is now sent forth on the Web Site of our Home Church in Garland, and also on our own ministry web site.)
God is still blessing us with health, and with great JOY IN SERVING OUR SOON COMING KING!
We are so very grateful and thankful to our Lord for the generous support given to us through the years and at the present by the RODGERS BAPTIST CHURCH and many other independent Baptist Churches. You all are a constant blessing and encouragement to us, and we appreciate so much your prayers and support for our work. God bless each one of you!
He has blessed us with traveling mercies, and with opportunities from time to time to preach and spread the good news, and with opportunities also to continue making good progress on our WEB ministry, and our WRITING FOR HARD COPY MINISTRY.
We are making good progress on two books for hard copy publication, one on the theme of "The Glories of the Redeemer," and one on the theme of "The Model Servant" as shown by Biblical examples. We are also doing preliminary "collection of materials work" on our forthcoming autobiographical book about our 33 years as independent Baptist Missionaries in Africa! The autobiographical one will tell about some of the wondrous works and miraculous dealings of God in our lives through terrorist ambush and hospitalization, landmine infested roads, arrests, deadly snakes, and many more marvelous happenings and blessing from the Lord during our years in Africa! Pray for all these projects, they are time consuming, but very rewarding, along with the great blessings of the Lord on our "Web Ministry Pages!"
We now have about 150 pages or sections up on the world wide web, each page with a nice color background, and with a musical background which plays suitable hymns while printed pages are on the screen, if your computer equipment is enabled for these sorts of things. We also have a few of our pages which have an animation of a beautiful African sunset scene, and a Cheetah running or loping across the picture.
We have a simple salvation message up on the World Wide Web now in four languages, and expect soon to have it up in 8 or 10 different languages. Three of the languages we have it up in now are widely used in Africa, not counting the English which is also used more and more on the dark continent.
God has been good to us since we last wrote. We have had several very good services with various Churches in Conferences, and otherwise.
We are looking forward to seeing many of our Pastor friends at Rodgers Conference, and at several other conferences coming up in August, September, October and November.
We are looking forward in a special way to being in the Annual Missions Conference of the Bethany Baptist Church in St. Albans, West Virginia, this coming November, and several other Churches in the Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky areas.
Churches In Zaire, Rhodesia, and South Africa Need Prayer All of our Churches and each one of the 32 Pastors we trained and left behind in Zaire, Rhodesia, and South Africa, many of whom are still faithfully carrying on the gospel witness for which we helped train them, are right now in special need of our prayers.
Please pray often for their continued physical safety, spiritual soundness and continued success in preaching the Gospel and spreading God's Word and establishing Churches there in Africa. As those of you who have kept up with news from Africa the past several months, the former anti-Mobutu rebels have recently taken over Zaire.
Some Excerpts From Encouraging Mail Ed Note : On these letters or email we have received, I have removed part of the names of the senders, except in the case of some of the letters where I felt sure the people would not mind it appearing.
-----------------------------------------Dear Sir,
Searching with the keyword 'Kikongo' I found your page:
http://www.myhomepage.net/~jhdearmore/kikongo.htm. I was looking for a possibility to translate a small piece of text in Kikongo, for a dear friend of ours who can get a few hard days in the near future. We (my wife Deny and I) want to wish him all the best for those days. Can you help me to translate in Kikongo:"We wish you all the best for the next days. We do not say 'good bye' but 'we'll see you!'. May your and our God be with you."
Thank you,
Deny and Jan, The Netherlands
ED. NOTE- I sent them their translation at once by email, of course.
--------------------------Dear Mr. Dearmore:
I would like permission to print the information on your web page. I want to send it to my daughter and son-in-law. The Lord led me to buy an afghan with some of notes to Amazing Grace on it. It was so appropriate because my son-in-law is Afro-American, and it was his grandmother's favorite song.
In Christian love,
Darlene Simmons

ED NOTE: Yes, we have put up the testimony of Dr. Chester Ratliff, a long time dear and close friend of ours. If you're on the Web you should go to our page NOW and read this wonderfully thrilling testimony, and the tribute also to our own former Pastor Bro. Charles Thomas. Links for the Ratliff and Thomas tributes will be found at our homepage, which is:

Dear Jim and Georgia,
When I first found your page, I was looking under "plan of salvation" using the search engines. So when I clicked on it, it went straight to your Plan of Salvation page. I never even seen your other pages until now. They are oh so nice. I especially loved the music. You know, many churches are only singing and playing the new Christian music now, but I do and will always favor the good 'ole hymns of old. They are the best.
I played the organ from age 12 to 16 in church many years ago. And I still play those wonderful hymns on my keyboard. I haven't done that in awhile, but your beautiful music on your page has inspired me to hit those keys! *smile* My very favorite song is "Amazing Grace", and "There is Power in the Blood".
--------------------Dear Dr. Dearmore,
How are things going? How is your health and Sister Dearmore's health? We are all fine at present. . . . . . . I have a request. If I remember correctly, you told me you have the Textus Receptus Greek Text of the Trinitarian Bible Society in computer file format. Could you possibly send it (them) to me via Eudora attachment? I am using that text as the basis of my translation. It would be a tremendous help to have it on my hard drive so I could search it with my computer. So far I have completed the translation of . . . . . . .

Dear Brother Dearmore:
You would not remember me, (Editor - But I do!) but I met you many years ago at a meeting in the Cincinnati area. I was talking to Vivian Ratliff the other night and she related that you had something about Bro. Chester on the net. I have not found anything about him, but had viewed some of the other pages.
Today, Sunday 3:30 pm local time I tried to access your sights and got messages like "FORBIDDEN - to access jhdearmore on this server." I cannot access Rodgers Baptist or any of your sites that come up on the search on any of the search engines I have used. I did get this e-mail site and thought I would let you know. Am I doing something wrong in trying to address these sights? Ken Ogle
Pastor of Faith Baptist Church - Williamsburg, Ohio
ED. NOTE- This happened when our server was down one time for about 18 hours, but he got through later.

Hello Mr. Webmaster :o)
I am looking for simple pages, like you have made, on the "Plan of Salvation", to add to my webpage as a link. I have a 60's music page and . . . . . get thousands of visitors. I have waited too long to put on it what has been tugging at my heart for a long time.
Many can read the simple plan of salvation from my pages, along with wonderful links, such as yours! I hope you will not mind. (We didn't mind, of course!) . . . .Thank you for such a wonderful site. . . Pammi

Dear Bro. James,
Greetings in the blessed name of our Lord Christ Jesus. I have received mail from you once before. I have had Computer problems since we installed a CD-Rom.
Thank you so much for your recent note that had perfect timing. I needed a word of encouragement that day, and there it was on the Computer. You know how missionaries get discouraged every now and then.
I took the time and visited your web page. I love it!! I asked a person to download everything for me due to his unlimited E-mail access. Here in Australia, nothing is for free. I only get two hours a month free, which I use for E-mail only. Any additional hours would cost $10/hr.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. Give my love to Mrs. Dearmore.
The Lord is Coming, Again and Very Soon,
Bro. Silas, Missionary in Australia
---------------------------XxxxxxX Baptist Church in Poznan, Poland
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
My name is (name was here), and I am the pastor of the xxxxxx Baptist Church. I am 31, and I have been working in the church since 1988, when I finished Bible Seminary. We are a Baptist Church, which started one and a half years ago, as a result of a growing vision in the Xxxxx Baptist Church. Many people who are in our new church were working in the Xxxx Baptist Church, where I was working with youth, and with young couples for over 7 years. After prayer and fasting for 3 weeks, with the pastor of the Xxxx congregation, we all saw that the best way for developing Gods Kingdom in our city would be to start a new church. . . . So 22 people decided to leave together to start this new church. We had nothing, just warm hearts! Since we started this new work, we have seen how wonderful our God is, leading us step by step. Presently, we rent a room in a culture house, . . . .
From Poznan - ED. Pray for these people! I have additional news and they now have the building they were trying to buy, after passing up several "final deadlines" to close the deal, they NOW have it!

Dear Dr. Dearmore:
Grace and I were at the Lynnwood Baptist Church (with Pastor Wilhelm Odendaal) when you were in Nylstroom (ED. - That is to say, Nylstroom, South Africa). We now live in England in North Yorkshire and have enjoyed your pages on the net. It was a great Joy to find your pages. I am a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in England. We attend the Stokton Baptist Church which has a wonderful pastor who loves the Word.......Please pray for us and our 6 children . . .. . . . We would like to communicate with you.
Yours in Him , Colin and Grace Read
Editor = Dr. Read or Mr. Read as they call medical specialists over there, is a fine Christian friend we made in South Africa. He is an Orthpaedic Surgeon. I had the joy of preaching several times at Lynnwood Baptist Church, in Pretoria, South Africa, while he was a member there, and met him then.

I saw where you had signed my guest book and thought I'd give a look to your page. Nice page and excellent resources! I'm taking the liberty of adding a link to your page from mine. It'll stay in the "What's New" section for 7 days, then I'll move it to our "Personal Pages" section. Thanks and God bless you and your wife. Rob Westbrook

-----------------------------Our Reply To an Encouraging Letter From Our Own Nephew
Dear Bill and Betty:
It was good to hear from you again. Thanks for the encouraging words about our WEB MINISTRY. We now have about 70 Pages on the web, (ED NOTE: We're now up to about 160 pages) and heading for several hundred, with a goal of over 200 well before years end).
I think the music really adds to the atmosphere and to the text materials a great deal WITHOUT slowing the downloading very much. You will notice most of my stuff is text, with very little graphics or animation. This is deliberate, of course, to speed downloading for anyone who wishes to read or even print copies.
It really MADE MY DAY when you said you were impressed, and then Betty said she wasn't just impressed, but was THRILLED, and was sharing it with her minister!
We still preach at Conferences, Revivals, and one or two service stands at our Churches, and what time we don't spend on that or the Web Work we spend in research /writing for a two books for hard copy we have in progress. Pray for us, our health, and for our financial backing from the Churches who give to support us full time in the work. It has dropped off too much since we came back from Africa, so we're not really making it from the financial viewpoint! Love, and all best wishes,
(Uncle) Jim and Georgia
Editor's Note: The Above was our reply to an encouraging email from our nephew in San Antonio, Texas.

Here is the scanned copy of Foxes book hope it does you good. I haven't read it except for a cursory scan to see if it was the full text. Keep up the good work. Simply copy or move the attached file and unzip it at your convenience. Bro. Kris.
From Bro. Kris Minefee, a friend and supporter of our work. He got us a good text copy of "Foxes Book of Christian Martyrs," which is now up on our site in HTML format.
---------------------From our Own Pastor, Bro. Ron Thomas and Sister Brenda
Dearest Bro. James,
Thanks for the update on your missions page work. It looks great! So very proud of you!
May God bless you and encourage you today!
In Christ,
Bro. Ron II Timothy 1:7Latest of many supportive verbal and written encouragements from our own beloved Pastor and Brenda, received just a short time ago.
See his sermon "The Importance of Children,"which has attracted a great deal of attention on our web site. It is posted under his name, and again under the ProLife topical listing, and is linked to the ProLife Web Ring to a wide audience, where it has also attracted favorable comment.

I checked out the page you submitted to the queue and it is excellent!! This is the type of information that is not widely publicized, and people need to be aware of it! . . . . .
I also looked at your pastor's sermon, (The Importance of Children) and it's beautifully written. . . .
If you want more than one page on the ring, you can do that also. (for instance, if you wanted to have your pastor's sermon, as well as the Doe information on the ring) You would have to submit each site separately (that's just how the ring works) This is up to you :-) Both pages, however, would be a great addition to the ring. .......
Thank you! And God bless you for all the work you are doing for those who can't speak for themselves.
PS - I noticed the "stone tablet" on your page! I have that on one of my other web pages also :-)
From Carolyn, Web Ring Mistress on the ProLife Web Ring, about listing our pages. --------------------------http://www.myhomepage./net/~jhdearmore
To all of you who are reading this for the first time on the Rodgers Baptist Church Web Site, WELCOME! And a hearty welcome also to those who are reading it on the James and Georgia Dearmore Web Ministry Pages. Pray for us, for our "books in progress" for hard copy publication, and for our electronic publishing ministry also on the World Wide Web.
We look forward to posting these newsletters on the World Wide Web 4 to 6 times per year and we will archive previous ones in accessible format when a new one is posted. We will soon be posting our itinerary on this page also. God bless you, one and all, and a special greeting and word of Christian love to the Pastors and Staff, and our many friends who pray and give for this work. THE BEST IS YET TO COME AS WE CONTINUE TOGETHER!
